CORE DESIGN'S 10 ANNIVERSARY TRAILER

Prior to the decision by Eidos plc to port development of the Tomb Raider franchise to Crystal Dynamics, former Lara Croft architects Core Design were working on their own commemorative edition of Tomb Raider to celebrate 10 years of Lara Croft. While this version of the game was subsequently canned when Core Design were disbanded, a steady flow of media showcasing the work has been forthcoming.

KYLE MANNERBERG SADLY PASSES AWAY

Kyle Mannerberg, a talented designer for Crystal Dynamics who worked on Tomb Raider Anniversary, Tomb Raider Legend and the critically acclaimed Legacy Of Kain, sadly passed away on Tuesday December 18th, 2007. He was 29-years-old. Our sincere condolences to Kyle Mannerberg's family and all those who worked alongside him at Crystal Dynamics.

TOMB RAIDER DEVS NOD SONY NETWORK

Crystal Dynamics' Riley Cooper has endorsed Sony's Playstation Network as a more viable method of video-game distribution during an interview with GamesIndustry.biz. Eidos previously used Xbox Live to distribute Tomb Raider Legend and Tomb Raider Anniversary, and Cooper believes PSN could be a better service for developers looking to bypass retail.

TOMB RAIDER UNDERWORLD LOGO ONLINE

A brand new Tomb Raider Underworld logo has been discovered on the official Tomb Raider web site. Moving away from the clinical steel badge used in Tomb Raider Legend and Tomb Raider Anniversary, Eidos appears to have gone back to its roots with a logo more befitting a globe-trotting British archaeologist and a romp through ancient tombs.
