In a report publish by Macworld today, Westlake Interactive, which develops titles for software publisher Aspyr for the MAC platform, confirmed it's intentions for Eidos Interactives Tomb Raider series.

Mac fans will delight over the news that Aspyr Media are continuing work on converting Eidos Interactive's Tomb Raider Chronicles to the MAC platform, joining previous version of the successful Tomb Raider series.

It's been a month since the final release of Tomb Raider as we know it, with Eidos Interactives fifth instalment from their incredibly successful adventure series concluding the current direction Lara will take before next years major overhaul of character and attitude in Tomb Raider Next Generation. Tomb Raider Chronicles features four major levels, including Rome, Russia, Ireland and Von Croys' High Tech level. Each episode continues the stories from past Tomb Raider adventures, and although topping almost all console charts as expected, has received much criticism from many online media companies.

Following the international release of Eidos Interactive's fifth Tomb Raider instalment, the Lara Croft adventure has received mixed reviews, and the New Zealand Herald Online had this to say about the last in the present series of Tomb Raider episodes.

Tomb Raider Chronicles is the fifth incarnation of Eidos Interactives incredibly successful Lara Croft series, following on from the apparent death in Last Revelation with four flash back adventures accompanied by the narration of Father Dunstan and friends in the cosy surroundings of the Croft Manor Study. Chronicles has faired some pretty stiff review, and the general consensus is that too little has changed from whence the original Lara Croft hit our consoles. Gamespot UK, fresh from it's review of the Playstation version of Chronicles, puts forward it's argument for Dreamcast flavours.
