LARA TAPS NEW GUINNESS WORLD RECORD
Lara Croft has muscled a place in Guinness World Records 2010 for most real-life video game stand-ins for the Tomb Raider series, writes USA Today. Lara Croft has been officially portrayed by ten different models since 1996, including actress Rhona Mitra and British TV presenter Nell McAndrew.

Alison Carroll has been unveiled as the brand new face of Lara Croft. The 23-year-old is a BGA accredited Club Coach in Tumbling, Sports Acrobatics, and General Gymnastics. She has a long association with the Bromley Valley Gymnastics Club, and the Shirley Gymnastics Club, bringing home first place trophies in regional and national competitions.

Official Playstation Magazine has hinted that real-life Lara Croft model Karima Adebibe may be retiring her trademark pistols and bringing to an end her tenure as Eidos' global spokeswoman for Tomb Raider.

Eidos Interactive has released a final collection of photographs of the original Lara Croft models who have all traversed the globe promoting the Tomb Raider brand. Karima Adebibe, Jill de Jong, Lucy Clarson, Lara Weller, Nell McAndrew, Rhona Mitra, Ellen Rocche and Vanessa Demouy have all donned hot-pants and pistols to beat the drum for Lara Croft.
