Hollywood is awash with rumours about Paramount's Tomb Raider movie sequel, and the latest to matriculate from the screw factory places former Oscar-winner Angelina Jolie in the running once again for a second stint as British aristocrat Lara Croft after dialogue surfaced earlier this week of Jolie talking about shooting underwater scenes from the sequel.

1712. Tomb Raider Chronicles - LARA CROFT AUCTION CLOSES AT £4,400
The Eidos/UNICEF charity auction featuring Nell McAndrew's original Lara Croft outfit has now closed with a winning bid of £4,400 going to PAULUS38 who walks away with one of the most famous outfits of contemporary popular culture. A total of 69 bidders participated in the auction each hoping to secure their own part of video-game history.

1713. Tomb Raider Chronicles - LARA CROFT OUTFIT BREACHES 3,300
the Eidos/UNICEF charity auction featuring Nell McAndrews' original Lara Croft outfit has breached the £3,300 mark with 64 bidders each hoping to secure their own part of video-game history. The costume, which comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Ian Livingstone and Nell McAndrew, features Lara's trademark green rubber all-in-one vest and military-style shorts. Lara Croft will never be seen in this outfit again making it even more collectable - a brand new outfit was unveiled last month by the new Lara Croft model, Jill de Jong.

1714. Tomb Raider Chronicles - COMIC BOOK COMPANIES GREAT GIVEAWAY
Moviegoers are expected to flock to theaters across the country once the Spider-Man movie premieres on Friday. Four rival publishers have decided to use the increased interest in super heroes as an opportunity to bring more attention to comic books. On Saturday, they plan to distribute nearly 2 million free comic books in all 50 states and 29 countries around the world.

1715. Tomb Raider Chronicles - INTERPLAY ANNOUNCES E3 PRODUCT LINEUP
Interplay Entertainment Corp announced today its lineup of highly anticipated game titles to be shown at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) taking place May 22 - 24 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Interplay will be showing demonstrations of Hunter: The Reckoning, Run Like Hell, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Galleon. Black Isle Studios, the renown, role-playing game (RPG) division of Interplay, will be showing Icewind Dale II, and an exciting, new RPG title to be announced in the coming weeks.
