Talk about a clash of the titans: Producers John Davis, David Giler, Lawrence Gordon, Walter Hill and Joel Silver have brought aboard Resident Evil helmer Paul Anderson to write and direct Alien vs. Predator for 20th Century Fox. Davis, Gordon and Silver come to the project via Predator, which was released in 1987 and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger. Giler and Hill produced the first four installments of the Alien franchise.

1684. Tomb Raider Chronicles - BROS HEARTTHROB TO APPEAR IN SEQUEL
Former Bros heartthrob Luke Goss will reportedly take a starring role opposite Angelina Jolie in the upcoming Tomb Raider movie sequel which begins principle photography in August. Goss, who recently made a major appearance in the vampire flick Blade II, is also penned to star in the Midas Films backed East End gangster movie Charlie. Producers have reworked their filming schedule to accommodate Goss' role opposite Jolie.

Sold Out, the clear market-leader in PC super budget titles, is to buck the trend of low-key releases during the summer months, with a stunning sextet of titles joining the £4.99 label in July. While traditionally a quiet month for publishers, Sold Out is to give super budget debuts to six titles in July, with Eidos' Tomb Raider 3: Adventures of Lara Croft leading the line.
