1531. Tomb Raider Chronicles - GERARD BUTLERS TALKS TOMB RAIDER II
Gerard Butler is trying hard not to smoke. It's been minutes since the Scottish-born actor's last cigarette, and he's determined to forego another for a little while longer. As he paces around the room, he spies a cup of coffee, which seems to stoke his nicotine urge. ''To hell with it,'' he says, lighting a Marlboro and swigging his coffee. Angelina Jolie says being a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations has changed her life. I used to lay there at night and wonder what it was that I needed to do, she tells Cosmopolitan magazine in its August issue. 1533. Tomb Raider Chronicles - DE BONT AIMS HIGH FOR TOMB RAIDER II
Jan de Bont, director of the upcoming action sequel Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, told SCI FI Wire that he wanted to make a netter movie than the hit first film. I don't want to say anything negative, but I felt that changes had to be made for sure, because there were a couple things I really didn't care for, de Bont said in an interview. 1534. Tomb Raider Chronicles - LARA CROFT BETTER SECOND TIME AROUND
Lara Croft Tomb Raider went down in history as the highest-grossing film ever with a female lead. That nugget of cinematic trivia raises expectations for the latest Tomb Raider adventure, The Cradle of Life. There's a lot of pressure on me, says Lara Croft herself, Angelina Jolie. I plan on not answering the phone for three weeks if it's all over. As we were doing (Tomb Raider 2) and when I saw it, I thought it is a lot better than the first one. So I'm pretty confident that if people give it a shot, it certainly holds up. It's much, much better than the first, but you never know (how the public will respond). I don't take it so seriously. It's a summer movie. It's business. If it goes well, that's great. If it doesn't, it's not the end of the world.
