1316. Tomb Raider Chronicles - GRAEME REVELL SCORES ASSAULT MOVIE
Assault on Precinct 13, the remake of the 1976 thriller directed by John Carpenter, will get a score composed by Graeme Revell. The New Zealand-born composer, whose best known scores include From Dusk Till Dawn, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and The Crow, here works for the first time with French director Jean-Francois Richet but reunites with writer James DeMonaco who scripted The Negotiator, scored by Revell in 1998.

1318. Tomb Raider Chronicles - U2 STAR BONO FAVOURITE TO SNARE LARA
It could be one of the most glamorous partnerships in the world of entertainment: Bono, lead singer of U2, is sizing up the owner of Lara Croft, the busty computer games heroine. Troubled computer games publisher Eidos, which owns the Tomb Raider title, put itself on the block last summer after a series of profit warnings and delayed games launches. Sources say chief executive Mike McGarvey is keen to stage a management buyout, and has been talking to two venture capital funds. It was known that he was in talks with a third party, but it was assumed that would involve a sale.

1319. Tomb Raider Chronicles - TOMB RAIDER DUO TAP THE WATCHMAN
Paramount Pictures is in negotiations with British director Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Supremacy) to helm vigilante action-adventure The Watchmen, with Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin (Lara Croft Tomb Raider) producing. Project will based on the DC Comics series of the same name, originally published in 1986. Scripter David Hayter (X-Men) signed a seven-figure deal at Universal three years ago to adapt the series.

Tapwave, the US manufacturer of the world's first Palm Powered multimedia handheld, has confirmed details of its agreement with Eidos, one of the world's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, to bring the most famous video game icon Lara Croft to the Zodiac platform. Tomb Raider Zodiac, due to be published by Tapwave in spring of 2005 sees Lara embarking on an exciting adventure. Using an all new custom 3D game engine, this adventure will take full advantage of the Zodiac's graphics accelerator.
