Eidos, one of the world's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, today announced that its highly-anticipated, action-stealth game Hitman: Contracts, developed by IO Interactive, has shipped to stores across North America for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox(R) video game system from Microsoft and the PC and will be available at retail beginning April 21, 2004 in North America. Hitman: Contracts serves as Eidos' largest North American video game launch since 1998, said Rob Dyer, president of Eidos US. Jesper Kyd is following up his work on the award-winning soundtracks for IO Interactive�s Hitman series and Freedom Fighters (recipient of GameSpot�s 2003 Best Original Music in a Game Award) with an entirely new original score for Hitman: Contracts.
