CAMILLA LUDDINGTON SCORES GAMERS' CHOICE AWARD

Camilla Luddonton has scored a Gamers' Choice Award for her role as Lara Croft in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The British born actress won 'Fan Favourite Female Voice Actor' at the event hosted by CBS. Gamers' Choice Awards is the first network awards show celebrating the worlds of gaming and esports.

TOMB RAIDER SCORES WORLD VIDEO GAME HALL OF FAME

Spacewar, John Madden Football, Tomb Raider, and Final Fantasy VII have been inducted into the World Video Game Hall of Fame and emerged from a field of 12 finalists that also included Asteroids, Call of Duty, Dance Dance Revolution, Half-Life, King's Quest, Metroid, Minecraft, and Ms. Pac-Man.

TOBY GARD HONOURED WITH ELSPA AWARD

The Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association has awarded Lara Croft creator Toby Gard with an inaugural place in ELSPA's new Hall Of Fame, a distinguished Who's Who initiative aimed at honouring game designers and creators who have made pivotal contributions to the UK games industry, Games Paper reports. Tomb Raider, developed by Derbyshire-based studio Core Design, is one of the video-game industry's most potent franchise with 30 million unit sales to date and two major motion pictures starring Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie.

PARAMOUNT ANNOUNCES CRADLE OF LIFE

Oscar-winner Angelina Jolie is back as Lara Croft, one of the world's most celebrated action heroines to ever hit the big screen, in Lara Croft and The Cradle of Life: Tomb Raider 2. Principal photography on the Paramount Pictures presentation, in association with Mutual Film Company, began recently on the Greek island of Santorini. The film will open nationwide on July 25, 2003.
