LARA SPREADS HER WINGS AT E3 2002

Adrian Smith is the boss of Tomb Raider developer Core Design. He's in charge of one of the biggest games in the world. He spoke exclusively to computerandvideogames.com on The Angel Of Darkness. Next gen Tomb Raider, now subtitled Angel of Darkness, was in a very early state on the showfloor of E3 last week, but luckily Core Design head honcho Adrian Smith was on hand to explain why. While there was no game-play to speak of, it was obvious from our little chat that a far more complete title is planned for the carrier of the most famous breasts in gaming this time round. About time too.

DIGITAL LARA CROFT COMES TO LIFE AT E3

Eidos Interactive and Core Design announced today that Lara Croft, character of one of the 1 billion dollar game franchise, will mark her public debut at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles on May 22. Croft, who has previously been portrayed by models Rhona Mitra, Nell McAndrew, Lara Weller, Lucy Clarkson, Jill de Jong and actress Angelina Jolie, will make several appearances on the expo floor answering questions from the audience and talking about her newest adventure Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness.

LARA CROFT AUCTION CLOSES AT £4,400

The Eidos/UNICEF charity auction featuring Nell McAndrew's original Lara Croft outfit has now closed with a winning bid of 4,400 going to PAULUS38 who walks away with one of the most famous outfits of contemporary popular culture. A total of 69 bidders participated in the auction each hoping to secure their own part of video-game history.

LARA CROFT OUTFIT BREACHES 3,300

the Eidos/UNICEF charity auction featuring Nell McAndrews' original Lara Croft outfit has breached the 3,300 mark with 64 bidders each hoping to secure their own part of video-game history. The costume, which comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Ian Livingstone and Nell McAndrew, features Lara's trademark green rubber all-in-one vest and military-style shorts. Lara Croft will never be seen in this outfit again making it even more collectable - a brand new outfit was unveiled last month by the new Lara Croft model, Jill de Jong.
