AIDAN QUINN IS THE RAGGY BOY

Aidan Quinn is to keep filming in Ireland even after his current project Dark Eagle finishes shooting. Quinn will stay on to work on a new movie called Raggy Boy according to reports in the Irish press last night. The film is reportedly based on a novel based on the Spanish Civil War by the Irish writer Patrick Galvin.

CHRIS BARRIE SET FOR BIGGER SEQUEL ROLE

With thoughts of a massive box-office gross - and, no doubt, Angelina Jolie's remarkable thighs - firmly in mind, it seems that there might be a second outing for the Tomb Raider franchise. Details are currently sketchy, though it appears that Ms Jolie will reprise the role of Lara Croft in a film that is rumoured to be more 'science-fiction-y' that its predecessor.

LARA SPREADS HER WINGS AT E3 2002

Adrian Smith is the boss of Tomb Raider developer Core Design. He's in charge of one of the biggest games in the world. He spoke exclusively to computerandvideogames.com on The Angel Of Darkness. Next gen Tomb Raider, now subtitled Angel of Darkness, was in a very early state on the showfloor of E3 last week, but luckily Core Design head honcho Adrian Smith was on hand to explain why. While there was no game-play to speak of, it was obvious from our little chat that a far more complete title is planned for the carrier of the most famous breasts in gaming this time round. About time too.

UN TAPS ARMANI FOR ABASSADOR POST

Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani will become the United Nations' latest celebrity ambassador at a ceremony in his home country, the U.N. refugee agency said Tuesday. Ruud Lubbers, the U.N. high commissioner for refugees, said he was proud to appoint Armani as a goodwill ambassador for the agency, which cares for some 20 million people worldwide.
