ANGELINA JOLIE PROCLAIMS SEXIER LARA

Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie has told reporters her character Lara Croft will be much sexier in Par's Tomb Raider sequel The Cradle Of Life. I think we see more sides to her. This feels more like a real film than the last one - it's a little less silly and Lara's more of a woman. The funny thing is, I realised I was almost doing too much training the last time. And I was on too many protein powder things - it made me curvier. This time I just ate normal food and lots of it: stuff like beans and eggs on toast. Then I trained as much as possible. This time Lara's leaner and stronger, sexier and sharper.

THE CRADLE OF LIFE SHOOTS IN HONG KONG

Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie has been shooting scenes for Par's Tomb Raider sequel The Cradle Of Life in and around Hong Kong capitalising on the panoramic splendor of Victoria Harbour - littered with traditional boats to modern cargo ships - as backdrop for a series of electrically charged action-packed sequences involving unscrupulous crime boss Chen Lo, played by oriental actor Simon Yam.

Pint-sized Pop diva Kylie Minoque has pipped Oscar winner Angelina Jolie to the post by stealing the coveted most beautiful body of 2002 award issued by Celebrity Body Magazine, Sky News' current affairs magazine reports today. Lara's alter ego fell in fifth behind James Bond star Halle Berry, actress and singer Jennifer Lopez and British screen starlet Liz Hurley.

ANGELINA JOLIE VISITS KOSOVO WITH NATO

Angelina Jolie visited with Kosovo's minority community, along with NATO peacekeepers and local leaders, during a three-day visit to the troubled region. The Oscar-winning actress, who is a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, said she was troubled by the conditions of minorities there. People think that when a war is over, everything goes back to normal, Jolie said Monday, after her visit concluded. But in Kosovo, the security situation remains questionable for minorities.

UIP SCORES LICENSING DEAL IN UKRAINE

United International Pictures has scored an exclusive licensing deal to distribute its films in Ukraine via firm B&H, cutting our former middle-man East West Creative Associates, Variety Magazine reports. Pics on the 2003 role-call include Par's The Cradle Of Life: Tomb Raider 2 starring Oscar-winner Angelina Jolie returning as buxom gunslinger Lara Croft. We very much value the relationship we have with East West and this change is simply a reflection of the growth of the business in (the) Ukraine and our preference, wherever possible, to deal directly with local players, said Julian Stanford, UIP's senior VP of European sales.
