SHARK TALE MOVIE IS SELL-OUT IN VENICE

Tickets to the September 10 premiere of DreamWorks Animation's new computer-animated comedy Shark Tale sold out in a matter of hours. On Monday, September 6, people began lining up at 6:00 a.m. to buy tickets for the event, which was completely sold out by 1:00 that afternoon. The premiere screening, which is part of the Venice Film Festival is being held outdoors in the city's historic Piazza San Marco. The film's stars Will Smith, Robert De Niro, Angelina Jolie, and Michael Imperioli will be among the estimated 5,000 people in attendance at the premiere. The Piazza is being transformed into an outdoor theatre for the event, complete with a huge inflatable screen.

THE TERMINAL OPENS VENICE FILM PARTY

The Venice Film Festival will be opened by Hollywood royalty tonight, as Oscar-winners Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg screen their blockbuster The Terminal. The film, which starts an 11-day celebration of film in the Italian city, tells the story of an Eastern European traveller who gets stuck in an airport - but has the good fortune to run into Catherine Zeta-Jones. As well as the cast of The Terminal, stars expected to attend the festival include Robert De Niro, Angelina Jolie, Will Smith, John Travolta and Al Pacino.

ANGELINA JOLIE DANGLES 24 STORIES HIGH

Just days after confessing that adopting a son makes her think twice before agreeing to do some of the most dangerous stunts which she used to do earlier, Tomb Raider actress Angelina was recently spotted dangling 24 stories above the ground, on the sets of her new movie Mr and Mrs Smith. According to Hello magazine, the actress had earlier admitted that she now usually checks all her safety harnesses before doing the stunts, after undoing one during the shooting of an earlier movie, which could have resulted in a serious injury.

In conjunction with the highly anticipated release of Oliver Stone's action-adventure drama Alexander, starring Colin Farrell as Alexander the Great alongside Angelina Jolie, Val Kilmer and Anthony Hopkins, Warner Bros. LARA CROFT MORE POPULAR THAN JORDAN

British gamers would rather go on a date with the lovely Lara Croft than spend an evening with ultra pneumatic glamour model Jordan, a survey has revealed. The poll, conducted at the Game Stars Live exhibition, found that 61 per cent of the young men asked preferred the fictional brunette. There are obviously a lot of pixel men out there. Chris Tufnell, 19, a marketing assistant from St. Albans, was evidently drawing on his many years of dating experience when he remarked: Lara typifies everything men wish for in a partner. She's strong, smart and looks wicked in shorts. I can't imagine an evening out with Jordan being anything other than mind-numblingly dull.
