LARAZADE TO ENERGISE MOVIE

Lucozade Energy is to be temporarily renamed 'Larazade' in a promotional tribute to Tomb Raider heroine, Lara Croft. The name change will coincide with the summer release of the Tomb Raider film starring Angelina Jolie. The special 'Larazade' promotion will run from May to July and will feature Lara Croft throughout on-pack promotion, print, cinema and television advertising media. In addition, 'Larazade' will feature a prestigious on-pack promotion giving lucky consumers a chance to compete in a unique Tomb Raider challenge. Teams will compete in a two-day long Tomb Raider challenge at a real life version of Lara's home, 'Croft Manor'. The lucky winners will receive one of the five special edition Land Rovers used in the blockbuster Tomb Raider film.

TOMB RAIDER DEFENDER AT NY SHOW

Further details on Land Rover's custom built Tomb Raider Defender will be released when the vehicle makes it's U.S. debut at this years April 22nd New York auto show, cars dot com reports today. Tomb Raider star Angelina Jolie will helm the veracious all-terrain vehicle through the steamy Cambodian Jungles and across the rigid icy landscapes of Siberia in Paramount Pictures £120m summer blockbuster, and although the latest incarnation from Land Rover made it's world debut in February, the New York auto show promises to yield a few more surprises.

PEPSI ANNOUNCE TOMB RAIDER AD

Elastic-limbed movie heroine Lara Croft has been recruited by Pepsi to fight for them in the latest Cola advertising battle. The soft-drink giant is preparing to reveal a costly new commercial featuring Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie as the female warrior, in the hope that the computer game icon will help boost sales in the same way pop babe Britney Spears did.

LAND ROVER TO DEBUT IN NEW YORK

Land Rovers customised Tomb Raider Defender will make it's U.S. debut during this years New York Auto Show following it's world premier at Geneva's International Motor Show in Feb 2001. Oscar winner Angelina Jolie will helm Land Rovers latest all-terrain vehicle during Cambodian Jungle scenes in Paramount Pictures upcoming Tomb Raider movie, which will debut June 15 across the United States, arriving on European shores July 6th. Land Rover will join Pepsi Cola, Ericsson and Taco Bell as major sponsors of Eidos Interactives computer game adaptation to silver screen production, scheduled for two forthcoming sequels over an period spanning five years. U2 CONFIRM TOMB RAIDER SOUNDTRACK

Irish rock group U2 have confirmed their upcoming single Elevation will appear on the Tomb Raider movie soundtrack, joining a host of artists for a part in this summers most anticipated action adventure movie. Tomb Raider star Angelina Jolie will feature in Elevation, sent to save band member The Edge from his evil mirrored counterpart. The band now look set to join rumoured artists Moby, the Chemical Brothers and Basement Jaxx on Elektra's upcoming movie soundtrack which is scheduled for release May 29th.
