ERIC LINDSTROM NOMINATED FOR AWARD

The Writers Guild have shortlisted Eric Lindstrom and Toby Gard among five nominees for best videogame writing of 2008, reports Variety.com. The pair joined forces to produce Tomb Raider Underworld, with Eric Lindstrom scoring an extra nod for penning the story.

ERIC LINDSTROM DEFENDS DLC CONTENT

The former creative director of Tomb Raider Underworld, Eric Lindstrom, has dismissed claims made by ex-employees of Crystal Dynamics that original content from Tomb Raider Underworld was removed in order to provide material for DLC. Eric, who was one of 30 staff let go by owners Eidos on Friday, says he was one of three people involved in the decision to edit the game in order to maintain shipping schedule.

London-based publisher Eidos plc has confirmed 30 employees - including creative director Eric Lindstrom - were dismissed on Friday amid disappointing sales of Tomb Raider Underworld and fresh speculation on the future of the company.
