Nixxes Software has released patch #8 for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Build 1.0.243 focuses primarily on the release for the free trial in tandem with bug fixes and new free content added for the shotgun platinum skin bonus. Steam will queue the patch for download during next sign in.

Square Enix has announced a free trial for Shadow of the Tomb Raider including full access to the opening levels of the critically acclaimed action-adventure. Square Enix has revealed The Pillar as the second DLC for Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The content will be released in December, no further details at this time. Yesterday saw the release of The Forge, the first of seven monthly DLC adventures available through the Season Pass, providing players with an abundance of new content, challenge tombs, co-op experiences, weapons and outfits, gameplay modes, and new narrative side missions.
