EIDOS SHANGHAI BECOMES GEARBOX STUDIO SHANGHAI

Gearbox Software has announced Eidos Shanghai is now Gearbox Studio Shanghai. Eidos Shanghai previously worked with Crystal Dynamics on Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Gigi Ning, who previously led Eidos Shanghai, will continue leading the studio as General Manager and report into Gearbox Publishing San Francisco.

SHADOW OF THE TOMB RAIDER INTEL XESS SUPPORT

Nixxes Software has announced a new update for Shadow of the Tomb Raider that adds Intel XeSS graphics support for DX12 compatible systems. Intel XeSS is an upscaling technology designed to increase performance and frame rate. NVIDIA DLSS, a similar technique, is also included in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider, developed by Eidos Montreal in association with Crystal Dynamics, released four years ago today on Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The official Tomb Raider Twitter account and Eidos Montreal are marking the occasion on Twitter with the re-release of Shadow of the Cute Raider.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition is currently to claim on the Epic Games Store until 8 September as part of Epic Games' continuing video-game giveaway. The Lara Croft reboot finale was previously available to claim for free as part of the Tomb Raider Survivor Trilogy giveaway in January.
