NOCLIP PRODUCES CRYSTAL DYNAMICS DOCUMENTARY

Noclip has produced a crowdfunded documentary on Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics. The two hour deep-dive into the 30 year history of Crystal Dynamics features over a dozen interviews with developers past and present. Noclip is funded entirely by the community and free of advertising or sponsored content.

STUDIO ONOMA ANNOUNCES CLOSURE OF MOBILE GAMES

Studio Onoma, formerly Square Enix Montreal, has announced a number of titles will be shutting down on January 4th following the closure of the studio as part of corporate restructuring by Embracer Group. Lara Croft GO does not appear to be affected by the shutdown.

LARA CROFT SPIN-OFFS COMING TO NINTENDO SWITCH

Feral Interactive has confirmed Nintendo Switch ports for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris are still in development when asked on Twitter what the studio was working on. Previously Feral Interactive said both titles would be a digital-only release and updates on progress would come at the end of the year.

TOMB RAIDER II CELEBRATES 25TH ANNIVERSARY

Tomb Raider II starring Lara Croft released 25 years ago on Windows and Sony Playstation. The sequel to Tomb Raider was developed by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive. The game features a globe-trotting Lara Croft as she sets out to retrieve a precious artefact, the Dagger of Xian, before it falls into the wrong hands

REMASTERS OF CLASSIC GAMES STILL BEING EXPLORED

Phil Rogers, head of Embracer Group's 12th Operative Group, says Crystal Dynamics and Eidos are exploring remaster opportunities of classic games and mentioned the studio's participation at Unreal Fest discussing transitioning from Foundation Engine to Unreal Engine 5 during Embracer Group's presentation of their Q2 interim report.
