TOMB RAIDER 7 MAY DEBUT ON XBOX 2

As noted in Eidos' Interim Results for the Six Month Period ended 31 December 2004 and Strategic Review update published last week, Tomb Raider 7 may debut on Microsoft's next generation games console, XBOX 2. Tomb Raider 7, currently being developed by U.S. developer Crystal Dynamics, and Hitman Blood Money was also pushed back to Y06 following a rescheduling of titles originally planned to debut Q4 2005.

STAR TREK GAME LICENSE DISPUTE OVER

Activision, a leading developer, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment software products, and Viacom Consumer Products Inc., today jointly announced that they have reached an agreement that settles their legal disputes regarding their license agreement for Star Trek video games.

ESC RELAUNCHES CHARITY AUCTION SITE

EUROGAMER is reporting that Entertainment Software Charity has relaunched its eBay website with a raft of new offerings donated by companies within the games industry. The ESC's 15 pages of charity auctions include a number of limited edition items and some unique gaming memorabilia including a Tomb Raider promotional set featuring wine, music and an oyster knife, Thunderbirds Wellington boots and all manner of games, T-shirts, cuddly toys and even football shirts.

NICOLE DeHUFF CLAIMS STARMETER POLE

Nicole DeHuff, who played Teri Polo's sister in Meet The Parents, has topped this week's IMDb STARmeter. The actress, who was famously smashed in the face by a volleyball in the Meet The Parents comedy, died last month after two medics misdiagnosed her pneumonia. Jon Heder (Moving McAllister), Lindsay Nolan (Just My Luck), Johnny Depp (The Rum Diary) and Hilary Swank (The Black Dahlia) round out the top five.
