Tomb Raider Legend may well be the name of the seventh Lara Croft-helmed adventure, if the official www.tombraider.com web site is anything to go by. Eidos bulldozed the old Tomb Raider web site early yesterday morning and erected a holding page informing fans of Lara Croft that information would be 'coming soon.' Eidos has begun prepping the official Tomb Raider web site for a forthcoming announcement officially introducing the future of Lara Croft - now under the aegis of Crystal Dynamics - and direction of the Tomb Raider franchise. Currently remarkably sparse on detail, www.tombraider.com informs fans of the series that information is coming soon, and we can confirm from an email received from an Eidos representative earlier today, said information might be broadcast a lot sooner than you think.

SCi SECURES 20% STAKE IN EIDOS PLC

SCi Entertainment Group, the firm at the center of an acquisition battle for beleaguered publisher Eidos plc, has fortified its position by scoring a 20% stake in the company. Investment group Schroder has accepted SCi's bid on behalf of 14.99 per cent of Eidos' shareholders. Under the terms of the offer, Schroder will acquire one share of SCi stock in return for every six shares of Eidos stock it currently holds, GamesIndustry.biz is reporting.
