The mystery surrounding the name of the seventh Tomb Raider title now under the aegis of Crystal Dynamics is all but solved after the discovery of serial number 78588907 filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. 'Lara Croft Tomb Raider Legend' was filed by Core Design Ltd on March 16, 2005. This information, coupled with a leaked copy of PSM due for publication May 2005 and the appearance of 'Tomb Raider Legend' on www.tombraider.com all but officially confirms the game's title, as we reported last week.

368. Tomb Raider Chronicles - SCi ACQUIRES 26.3 PER CENT OF EIDOS
SCi Entertainment Group, the company at the center of a bidding war with Elevation Partners for beleaguered Tomb Raider publisher Eidos plc, has secured a further 6,913,003 shares in the company after receiving an irrevocable undertaking from Merrill Lynch Investment Managers Ltd on behalf of shareholders, AFX is reporting. SCi fortified its position end of last week by scoring a 20% stake in Eidos courtesy of Investment group Schroder. SCi now controls 26.3 pct of Eidos.

370. Tomb Raider Chronicles - SCi TO RALLY SHAREHOLDER SUPPORT
SCi Entertainment will try to rally support from Eidos shareholders when it meets with management on Tuesday to present its case for acquiring the company, Financial Times reports today. SCi recently fortified its position in an acquisition battle with Elevation Partners by scoring a 20% stake in the beleaguered publisher. Investment group Schroder accepted SCi's all-share bid on behalf of 14.99 per cent of Eidos' shareholders.
