Steven Spielberg's The Goonies exploded onto theatre screens in 1985 and captured the imagination of cinema goers the globe over. The pic followed the exploits of a group of kids living in Astoria as they fumbled their way through caves, slid into water pools, played the bones on an ancient organ and climbed onto a pirate ship owned by infamous Captain One-Eyed Willy.

ANCIENT GLASSWORKS FOUND IN EGYPT
British and French archaeologists have unearthed a Bronze Age Egyptian glassworks at a site in Qantir-Piramesses on the eastern Nile Deltadating. The artifacts discovered at the site suggest that raw materials - quartz powder mixed with carbonate and other ingredients - was first partially reheated in recipients possibly made from recycled beer jars, Agence France-Presse reports today.

Hollywood superstar Vin Diesel has been tapped to star as Eidos' ruthless killer Agent 47 in 20th Century Fox's upcoming adaptation of Hitman. Developed by IO Interactive, Hitman stars Agent 47, a ruthless gun for hire who has a clean-shaven head and always wears a stylish black suit. The assassin is hired by 'the Agency' to kill targets for cash.
