Following two years of extensive underwater searches around a series of islands that lay west of Sicily in the Mediterranean Sea, Italian archaeologists believe they have uncovered a fleet of ships thought sunk in the battle of the Aegates Islands more than 2,000 years ago, Reuters reports today.

Cambodian officials have granted citizenship to Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie in recognition of her work in the region on behalf of UNHCR. Jolie, who filmed in Cambodia while shooting Lara Croft Tomb Raider, also adopted a baby boy in 2002 and has donated two million dollars in aid.
