NELL MCANDREW COMPLETES MARATHON

Some of Britain's best-loved celebs went head-to-head with thousands of other competitors on Sunday, when the 24th London Marathon snaked its way through the British capital. Trainspotting star Jonny Lee Miller was expected to be the first famous face to cross the finish line, but on the day he was beaten by Emmerdale actor Tony Audenshaw. After the race, the soap star said his performance was boosted by the chilly temperatures.

EIDOS SIGNS NEW DEV DEAL WITH CLIMAX

Eidos, one of the world's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, announces it has signed a development deal with Climax. Climax's Brighton studio is developing Crash 'n' Burn(TM), an arcade driving game for PlayStation 2 and Xbox which will be released in autumn 2004 Crash 'n' Burn is a racing game where the focus is on aggressive and dangerous driving. The game features online support for 16 players and will be Eidos' first online console game.

GAME OVER FOR SMASHENBURN FAMILY

It's Game Over for the Smashenburn family. UPN is reportedly pulling the plug on Prime Time's first every CGI animated series Game Over after the show racked in an embarrassing 0.9 rating/2 share in households and a 0.6 rating in adults 18-49 according to fast national data. Lara Croft, the Tomb Raider herself, had been drawn into a guest appearance alongside Raquel to have a heroine heart-to-heart over an espresso.

NELL MCANDREW NEW VOICE OF SEWAGE

Nell McAndrew has landed a new job - as the voice of Yorkshire Water's sewage. The Lara Croft model is to be the virtual host and guide to a new website dedicated to the treatment of sewage. She has already recorded the script to the world's first virtual sewage treatment works tour which is based around the company's Esholt sewage treatment works on the outskirts of Bradford.
