EIDOS PLC TO RETAIN CORE DESIGN STUDIO
Eidos Plc has confirmed Core Design Ltd will continue to operate in its current capacity as a leading videogame developer contrary to an article we published Friday 31 September 2003 suggesting the impending downgrading of operations at the Derbyshire-based studio. A statement released by Eidos today concluded that Core Design is very much part of Eidos' long term plans and will be retained as a development studio. Our article published Friday 31 September 2003 was therefore in error, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

As you all know, Nathan McCree wrote the wonderful music that played such an integral role in making Tomb Raider the game we know and love. There is a chance that if Crystal Dynamics, the new developers of Tomb Raider 7 under the umbrella of Eidos, are made aware of how much support the Tomb Raider community has for Nathan's music, they may commission him to score the new game. In addition, this may in turn persuade Paramount that there is an enormous interest in seeing Nathan write the score for the new movie.

MANGA-STYLE INFLUENCE FOR LARA CROFT?
The future of Lara Croft Tomb Raider has never before been shrouded in so much secrecy than that which conceals the tentatively titled Tomb Raider 7, currently in development in Southern California by U.S. game-makers Crystal Dynamics. However, one clue on the future direction of Miss Croft could be the recent revelations that the next game could be influenced by Mango anime, a popular style of art developed in Japan.
