THE MILL CHOOSES FOUNDRY NETWORKS

The Mill, the award winning visuals effects company behind Black Hawk Down, the Ridley Scott film, has chosen Foundry Networks' high-performance Gigabit Ethernet switches and routers to increase network performance. The company has moved away from an ATM-based network to a Gigabit Ethernet solution enabling staff involved in film and TV production to complete work more quickly.

TOYS FOR BOB DEPARTS FROM EIDOS PLC

Californian-based games developer Toys for Bob has announced its departure from Soul Reaver publishers Crystal Dynamics and London based Tomb Raider publishers Eidos Interactive after a nine-year tenure. Toys for Bob have developed a series of classic games including the Star Control series, Pandemonium and The Unholy War.

SANTA BROUGHT A DVD PLAYER FOR XMAS

Hundreds of thousands of consumers across the country found that Santa left a DVD player under the tree this Christmas. Blockbuster is building on that DVD excitement by throwing in a free DVD rental and has released a list of the hottest DVDs to rent.
