COMIC BOOK COMPANIES GREAT GIVEAWAY

Moviegoers are expected to flock to theaters across the country once the Spider-Man movie premieres on Friday. Four rival publishers have decided to use the increased interest in super heroes as an opportunity to bring more attention to comic books. On Saturday, they plan to distribute nearly 2 million free comic books in all 50 states and 29 countries around the world.

INTERPLAY ANNOUNCES E3 PRODUCT LINEUP

Interplay Entertainment Corp announced today its lineup of highly anticipated game titles to be shown at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) taking place May 22 - 24 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Interplay will be showing demonstrations of Hunter: The Reckoning, Run Like Hell, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Galleon. Black Isle Studios, the renown, role-playing game (RPG) division of Interplay, will be showing Icewind Dale II, and an exciting, new RPG title to be announced in the coming weeks.

ANGELINA JOLIE REPLACED AS LARA CROFT

Former Big Breakfast presenter Kelly Brook is reportedly in talks with movie producers to replace Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft in Paramount Picture's second Tomb Raider motion picture. Due to begin principal photography next month at Pinewood Studios, Jolie - who is finalising the adoption of a Cambodian baby with husband Billy Bob Thornton - may not want to re-appear in the action adventure sequel despite confirming last year she would resume the role of British aristocrat Lara Croft for a further two episodes.

ANGELINA ISSUES SHOCK ANNOUNCEMENT

Hollywood beauty Angelina Jolie has issued a statement that may devastate half of the known world. Or at least its population. The Raider star and daughter of actor Jon Voight, who made her own name playing notorious Seventies lesbian supermodel Gia Carangi in 1998's explicit TV movie Gia, has announced that she will not be getting naked on film again until she is much, much older.

LARA CROFT VOTED TOUGHEST CHARACTER

Lara Croft is the toughest video game character ever created, according to a new poll. The Dixons survey ranked characters to determine the strongest, most determined and physically fit. Lara beat Metal Gear Solid hero Solid Snake into second place, with Duke Nukem in third. She also beat cult heroes like James Bond and Spiderman.
