EIDOS TO RELEASE BLOOD OMEN 2 FOR CUBE

Eidos Interactive will release Blood Omen 2, the latest installment in the Legacy of Kain Series, on the Nintendo Game Cube this coming October for U.S patent only. Blood Omen 2 is a 3rd person 3D action/combat game in which the player assumes the role of the vampire Kain. A compelling story drives the player through huge lushly detailed 3D environments and challenges their game play skills in combat, puzzle solving, stealth and exploration.

MILL FILM CHARGED WITH SEQUEL EFFECTS

Special effects wizards Mill Film will once again be charged with the digital trickery for Paramount Pictures Lara Croft Tomb Raider sequel that has now begun principal photography at Pinewood Studios, London with Angelina Jolie onboard for her second foray as British adventurer Lara Croft.

TIMESPLITTERS 2 COMING TO XBOX CONSOLE

Eidos Interactive announces that TimeSplitters 2 is currently in development for the XboxTM video game system from Microsoft and the Nintendo® GameCube®. TimeSplitters 2 is the sequel to the hugely successful and critically acclaimed TimeSplitters, which was released to coincide with the US and European launches of PlayStation 2. The game is being developed by Free Radical Design and is set for release in Autumn 2002.

...AND HERE COMES THE OFFICIAL RELEASE

Eidos Interactive, one of the world's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, announces that Blood Omen 2 is scheduled for release on the Nintendo GameCube this Autumn. Currently being developed by Crystal Dynamics, creators of the Soul Reaver franchise, the game's release marks the first time a video game from the Legacy of Kain series will be available on a Nintendo platform. Blood Omen 2 is a story-driven, combat action game that centers on the fallen vampire Kain and his quest to reclaim rule over the ancient city of Nosgoth.

NEWSPAPER OFFERS CHAMP GAME TRIAL

Tabloid newspaper The Sun has added Championship Manager, the football management game, to the portfolio of games users can try and buy on its web site. The Sun site will host the game throughout the World Cup in June. Using shrink-wrapping software technology from Softwrap, users can try the game before they decide whether to purchase it and download it in full for £24.
