The survivors are being taken to a jungle region of Australia where they will be put through their paces.

ROBOTIC TOMB RAIDER FOR GEOGRAPHIC

A National Geographic TV crew is using a special robot in the production of TV documentary Secrets of the Pyramids Revealed. Three-hour program will air Sept. 16 globally on the National Geographic network and on Egyptian TV Channel One. The robot is being used for the first time to open different passages in the pyramids to reveal new findings, said Zahi Hawass, director of the Giza Plateau Evacuations, which is working closely with the team headed by Egyptologist Mark Leonard.

VOLCANIC ERUPTION SPAWNS HIDDEN RUINS

Online movie rumour mill Dark Horizons reports on scenes from Paramount Pictures Tomb Raider movie sequel that will shoot on the sun-drenched Aegean Sea island of Santorini later this month. During a lavish Greek wedding, the infamous volcano of Santorini, dormant for 10,000 years, spectacularly erupts and triggers a series of earthquakes which in turn spawn the rise of a ancient underwater ruin from the bottom of the sea.

GALLEON PREPARES TO SET SAIL THIS YEAR

Once upon a time, Tomb Raider designers Toby Gard and Paul Douglas left Core to form their own company, which they called Confounding Factor. There they would craft a groundbreaking new third person action-adventure game named Galleon, which would feature all manner of swashbuckling as you took control of a buccaneer by the name of Rhama and guided him around shipwrecks and islands in his clipper the Endeavour. A wide variety of fluid animations were promised for your character, as well as a unique sword fighting system and glorious 3D graphics.
