EIDOS RELEASES SECOND HITMAN 2 DEMO

Eidos Interactive has released a second playable demo of the third person action game Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. This time round Codename 47 unleashes a frenzied rain of terror in mission 5, Invitation to a Party, set in St. Petersburg. The trigger-happy bald-headed assassin must dispense with the services of a General to complete the mission.

TOMB RAIDER LAUNCHES ON SKY GAMESTAR

The world's most famous videogame character. Lara Croft makes her interactive TV debut in the UK and Ireland today, following an exclusive agreement between BSkyB and Eidos Interactive, publisher of the Tomb Raider series. Tomb Raider: Apocalypse, Episode 1: The Eye of Osiris has been developed by Minds Eye Productions specifically for Sky Gamestar - Sky digital's TV games portal. It is the first episode in a series, with parts two and three launching throughout 2003. Sky digital viewers take on the role of the all-action heroine Lara Croft as she embarks on a death-defying adventure.

JOLIE PERFORMS STUNTS ON RAGING BULLS

Angelina Jolie - who performed most of her own stunts in the original Tomb Raider movie claiming she had no choice if she wanted to win over the millions of fans who have fallen for Lara Croft - insists on continuing the fashion in Par's sequel The Cradle Of Life. Several sequences require Jolie to ride real bulls, with horns and everything! Jolie told reporters recently. They're being trained up for the film. What you do, apparently, is to get the male bulls to chase after a female. So I'm going to be on some excited bulls looking for their girlfriends.

WALES APPROVES £300M MOVIE COMPLEX

Plans for a new 300 million movie complex backed by Lord Richard Attenborough have been rubber stamped following approval by Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council's development control committee. Dragon International will develop a 350-acre former open cast mine site in Llanilid complete with media centre, screen academy and theme park, according to Sky News. The complex, to be called Dragon International Studios, will also sport the latest facilities for making feature films, television productions and commercials with full editing and post-production facilities.
