Irish rock group U2 tripped the light fantastic in an electrifying performance during the first show on the sold-out third leg of their Elevation Tour last night, playing to 11,000 screaming fans in Notre Dame, Indiana and broadcasting to millions tuning in to a live worldwide webcast, the bands official web site U2.com reports today.
