KONOKO BLAZONS LARA CROFT

Konoko, the star of Oni, has followed a recent trend amongst pop stars including Madonna and Kylie Minogue, by emblazoning the name of Eidos Interactives Lara Croft across her shirt. Gamespot UK, who broke the story this morning, mentions however that Konoko's pedigree in the gaming business is unproven and that this episode is clearly a PR stunt to try and garner publicity for her new game Oni, which is due for release first quarter of 2001.

ENTERTAINMENT AWARD FOR JOLIE

Oscar winning Tomb Raider star Angelina Jolie has come in at number twelve on Entertainment Weekly's Entertainer of the Year, with sword brandishing Roman hero Russell Crowe topping the list and action hero Bruce Willis entering the chart at number six. Also featuring on the annual Hot List were towheaded rapper Eminem, boy band N Sync and The Exorcist's Ellen Burstyn.
