ELVEDEN HALL TO HOST TOMB MOVIE

A report in the East Anglia Daily Times has confirmed that the cast and crew of Tomb Raider the movie has been shooting at one of East Anglia's most stately homes, Elveden Hall, which is owned by the Earl of Iveagh from the Guinness Brewery and managed by Michael Douglas. Although the identities of the cast present were kept tightly under wraps, a spokesman confirmed that a number of rooms had been hired from nearby Angel Hotel in Bury St Edmonds.

LARA CROFT BOXING CLEVER

According to a report by the international news agency Reuters, Lara Croft may have boxed clever an idea first conceived at 33,000 feet as being Microsoft's entry into the game console market. Seamus Blackley, a freshman at the software giant Microsoft, was toying with a new laptop during a flight, teasing it's graphics and looking for a way to improve it's visual element, and realised that Microsoft could make a machine that had much higher performance than anything else in the industry.

ANGKOR WAT DAMAGED BY STORM

The Associated Press has reported that heavy storms have battered the Cambodian Temples of Angkor Wat, the destination of Simon West and the cast and crew of Tomb Raider who are due to begin filming in the ancient temples next month. Sodden foundations have begun to swallow some of the 800-year-old stone monuments because the constant torrant of water has not been able to drain away, and falling trees have destroyed parts of the temples, Cambodian officials have reported.

LOGISTICS BEHIND SONY'S PLAYSTATION 2

Sony's much anticipated Playstation 2 goes on sale Thursday amid unprecedented hype, receiving accolades from many of the major software houses including Eidos Interactive, Electronic Arts and LucasArts. A report by Red Herring, however, suggests that Sony will be in for a logistical struggle due to a shortage of components because of a months delay in production, possibly causing a widespread drought for their games/entertainment machines throughout the Christmas season.

And the crazy thing is, they just might pull it off.
