Entertainment Ltd, today announces
November 6th 2006 as the release date
of the first Interactive DVD game
to be based on videogame franchise.
The Interactive DVD game Lara
Croft Tomb Raider: The Action Adventure
enables the player to control Lara
with the simple up, down, left, right
and enter command buttons of a standard
DVD remote control and is aimed squarely
at the Xmas non-gamer mainstream market.
Designed
for an audience who may have never
played a video game before, the game
offers players an average of an afternoon
or evening’s gameplay from starting
to completing the game. The game can
be played over and over again achieving
better scores and also allows players
to divide into teams and challenge
one another.
Formerly
the preserve of the TV quiz show the
Interactive DVD market is growing
massively and the release of Lara
Croft Tomb Raider : The Action Adventure
sees the creation of a new category
featuring Interactive DVD games based
upon videogame franchises.
Lara
Croft Tomb Raider : The Action Adventure
is also very competitively priced
with a RRP of £14.99. Based on Lara’s
Angel of Darkness adventure, the new
release sees Lara framed for a crime
she did not commit and players will
help her struggle to clear her name
and solve an exciting mystery of betrayal
and vengeance.

figure and Bright Entertainment CEO
Dominic Wheatley with Lara
Croft.

when Tomb
Raider was launched in 1996. “We

Croft to a wider audience” says Wheatley.

addition to the UK, Bright Entertainment
has announced that the release will
be distributed in the United States,
France, Germany, Austria and Italy
with more territories to follow. The
company is also in discussions with
other games franchise holders to release
further blockbuster video games onto
the Interactive DVD format.
