A FEW WORDS FROM MARCUS TROGEN

Hello Everyone!

I've been playing since I was about 7, starting on my parents' organ. I'm self-taught, and I don't really have a musical background. As I have a very creative and imaginative personality, always curious and up for new challenges, I come up with ideas easily.

I took drama at senior high school and developed my acting abilities, as well as my musical abilities. Since the teachers noticed I had a gift for music, they took me into account as we did the musical "Cabaret", and I was part of both the musical assembly as well as the acting assembly, acting both on stage and playing the piano during certain scenes. In one scene I had to sing a solo, and act drunk, so the worse I sang the better. Heh. No warm ups or voice perfection required. Lucky me. Only problem was I had to sing in Yiddish (Jewish language), but I handled it pretty well, and hey, the luxury of acting drunk means that it doesn't have to be perfect.

I got my first synthesizer in 1995, and that's when I seriously started developing my musical abilities. I have been creating music since then, and have since added more musical equipment to my arsenal. Sometime around autumn 1996 I was visiting a friend, watching him play the Playstation. I was browsing through one of his Playstation magazines, and saw this tiny article, mentioning an upcoming game about a female archaeologist with a typical Indiana Jones style.

Female game characters were not common and Tomb Raider was a new concept. I made a mental note to remember that title, a few months later I tried the demo. And really, the rest is history, I fell in love with the game and I've been a Tomb Raider fan ever since.

By the end of May 1999 came my first Tomb Raider inspired tune "Dance Raider", which became a huge hit among Tomb Raider fans, a spark that encouraged me to continue to release more tunes inspired by the Tomb Raider games.
