Three
expansion packs and two character packs for Lara
Croft and the Guardian of Light will be available
from September 30, 2010, according
to IGN. The character packs offer gamers the
chance to experience the entire adventure without
Lara Croft and Totec and instead with other well-known
video-game characters.
The expansion
packs for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
feature a combination of new puzzle, exploration
and combat experiences along with new areas to
explore. An additional two expansion packs will
be released at a later date.
Lara
Croft and the Guardian of Light begins with Lara
searching for an ancient artifact called the Mirror
of Smoke. Upon reaching the mirror, she is ambushed
by a mercenary army who steals the mirror and
releases an ancient evil named Xolotl.
