WAYNE ROONEY BEATS BABES IN NEW POLL
Copyright 2004 www.tombraiderchronicles.com

[ June 25th 2004 ]

Wayne Rooney's star performance on the pitch has helped him beat a host of babes including Kelly Brook, Nell McAndrew and Jennifer Ellison in a Euro 2004 poll by Zoo magazine, which asked men who they would prefer to kiss. The men's weekly surveyed 1,500 16- to 34-year-old men with the aim of finding out just how much Rooney-mania has taken over the country. An incredible 36% of men who entered the survey on Zoo's website chose the scouse wonder kid, who scored so decisively for England before the national side was cruelly evicted in last night's match against hosts Portugal.

Brook and McAndrew came a close second and third with 21% and 18% of the votes respectively. Ellison received 13% and Lucy Pinder, recently voted Zoo's "hottest new babe", received 8%, with Michelle Marsh at 8%. Paul Merrill, Zoo's editor, said: "The survey just goes to show how much of an impact Wayne Rooney has made at these championships and demonstrates how football fever sweeps through the nation during a major tournament." Yesterday, it emerged that Rooney had hired former Sun and Daily Mail senior editor Ian Monk to handle all future PR following the deluge of media and sponsorship interest for the 18-year-old.
