ANGELINA JOLIE CALLS FOR AID TO CHAD

After touring refugee camps and crude shelters in eastern Chad over the weekend, the actress Angelina Jolie, a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), has issued an urgent call for funds to help bring relief to the tens of thousands of Sudanese escaping militia attacks in Darfur. Ms. Jolie warned that UNHCR and non-government aid agencies were in a race against time before the rainy season comes later this month. When the rains start to fall, the weak temporary structures in the makeshift shelters will be in danger of collapsing, she said warning that illnesses was likely to spread, especially among children, due to the breakdown of sanitation.

WARREN SPECTOR TO STAY AT ION STORM

Eidos plc has dismissed rumours that Deus EX developer and ION Storm creator Warren Spector has parted company from the Austin, Texas-based studio he founded following the completion of Deus Ex: Invisible War and Thief: Deadly Shadows. Spector was also recently rumoured to be lending a hand in the forthcoming Tomb Raider adventure series currently being developed by Californian-based studio Crystal Dynamics fuelling rumours of a collaboration between ION Storm Entertainment and Crystal Dynamics.

ANGELINA JOLIE ARRIVES TO SUPPORT CHAD

UNHCR's Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie is in eastern Chad today to spend two days working alongside UNHCR's field staff in their efforts to assist the Sudanese refugees and move them to camps at a safer distance from the border. She will be going to camps which have been receiving refugees relocated from the border. She also plans to spend some time at the border itself to see first-hand the conditions of the refugees there and help with distribution of emergency rations and relocation operations.

Eidos announces a stunning soundtrack for ShellShock: Nam '67 with an explosion of groovy original tracks to help create the atmosphere of sixties Vietnam. Percy Sledge, Sonny and Cher, Roy Orbison, The Monkees, The Small Faces, John Lee Hooker and The Troggs, among others will all be providing tracks in the game to recreate the spirit of base camp.
