Speaking to online portal Teen Hollywood, the Lara Croft star said: Once they had airbrushed any sexuality out of the poster that was it. Bye bye box office. UBISOFT SET TO ACQUIRE EIDOS FOR £215m

Lara Croft, the computer-generated heroine and pneumatic pin-up girl for the UK's teenage population, is set to bid au revoir to her British investors after Ubisoft, the giant French games publisher, emerged this weekend as the front-runner to snap up Eidos, its struggling UK rival. The British company, which created Lara in its successful Tomb Raider series of games, is locked in takeover talks with Ubisoft.

FARRELL BEHAVED LIKE A BABY WITH JOLIE

Irish hunk Colin Farrell acted like a baby towards his mother when he first met actress Angelina Jolie on the set of Alexander, the film's director Oliver Stone reports. Farrell plays Alexander, the King of Macedonia and Jolie plays his mother, Olympias, in the war epic - Stone was amazed by his casting, because Farrell acted like her son off-screen.

OFFICIAL: TOBY GARD TAPS TOMB RAIDER 7

Eidos has confirmed Toby Gard - the original architect behind video-game heroine Lara Croft - will join Crystal Dynamics and spearhead the Tomb Raider 7 creative team. In a statement to www.tombraiderchronicles.com this morning, Eidos said: Toby will complement the existing talented team creating the next Tomb Raider title. As the creator of the Lara Croft character, he brings a unique perspective to the development process.

TOBY GARD TAPPED BY CRYSTAL DYNAMICS?

According to numerous industry sources, Toby Gard - the original architect behind the Lara Croft Tomb Raider franchise - has been tapped by U.S.-based studio Crystal Dynamics to lend a hand with the new Tomb Raider adventure game. Gard, responsible for creating Britain's most explosive digital export to date while serving with Derbyshire-based studio Core Design in 1995, abandoned his role as lead designer after a series of creative differences shortly after London-based publisher Eidos acquired Core Design following a series of takeovers and mergers.
