ANGELINA JOLIE VISITS KOSOVO WITH NATO

Angelina Jolie visited with Kosovo's minority community, along with NATO peacekeepers and local leaders, during a three-day visit to the troubled region. The Oscar-winning actress, who is a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, said she was troubled by the conditions of minorities there. People think that when a war is over, everything goes back to normal, Jolie said Monday, after her visit concluded. But in Kosovo, the security situation remains questionable for minorities.

ANGELINA JOLIE TO VISIT REFUGEE CAMP

Actor Danny Glover began a three-day visit to Trinidad on Wednesday to film a television program on HIV/AIDS and children, a U.N. spokeswoman said. The 55-year-old American, who starred in the Lethal Weapon movies and the film The Color Purple, arrived early Wednesday at the Caribbean country's Piarco International Airport, U.N. spokeswoman Vashty Maharaj said.

MILL FILM BOWS OUT OF EFFECTS BIZ

Oscar-winning special effects facility Mill Film is bowing out of the feature f/x biz, with Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets serving as its swan song. Mill Film's London-based parent the Mill will not shutter, but said it will now focus its efforts exclusively on its growing commercials and advertising businesses. The Mill originally was founded in 1990, by brothers Ridley and Tony Scott, to create high-end f/x for commercials and music vids.

SIMON YAM SECURES SEQUEL VILLAIN ROLE

According to the official Simon Yam web site, the Hong Kong born actor has accepted a role in the upcoming sequel to Paramount Pictures' blockbuster Tomb Raider (2001) starring Oscar winner Angelina Jolie. Yam, with over 125 movies and 35 television roles packed into a portfolio spanning 25 years, will star opposite Jolie in Par's The Cradle Of Life as Lara Croft's evil adversary Chen Lo, responsible for orchestrating a battalion of henchmen in possession of a magical crystal relentlessly sought by the British aristocrat.

TALENT AGENCY FORMS VIDEO GAMES UNIT

In another sign of the $9 billion video game industry's growing importance in Hollywood, top talent agency International Creative Management has formed a new division to adapt video games into movie and TV shows. The group will be headed by game veteran Keith Boesky who once served as president of Eidos Interactive Inc., the company behind the popular Lara Croft video games.
