US TO APPROVE CAMBODIAN ADOPTION
The U.S. Embassy hasn't approved Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton's adoption of a Cambodian baby, which means the Hollywood couple can't take the infant to the United States immediately. Jolie took custody of the 7 1/2-month-old boy in Africa, where she's shooting her next film. Her husband, Thornton, is in the United States. It's unclear who brought the baby to Jolie.

PINEWOOD STUDIOS MULLING OVER IPO
Pinewood Shepperton Studios has appointed investment banking arm HSBC to explore the possibility of a public stock offering. HSBC will examine options for the company, created a year ago when Pinewood merged with Shepperton in a £35 million deal that gave the enlarged group a value of more than 144 million.

WORST FILM OF YEAR IS A CLOSE RACE
The Oscars are not the only race that is too close to call for film awards this year - there's a battle raging for the worst film of 2001, according to the 22nd annual Razzie award nominations announced Monday. The Razzies, which purposely names its nominees a day before the far, far more prestigious Oscar nominations are announced, said the fight for worst film has come down to five critical fiascoes: Driven, Freddy Got Fingered, Mariah Carey's Glitter, Pearl Harbor and 3000 Miles to Graceland, a near-forgotten tale of what happens when Elvis imitators go bad.
